Upon being confronted with the images, the women begin to see their vagina for what it really is: a symbol of power; of beauty. I guess you watch porn and see 'the perfect vagina. One woman was moved to tears by her image, saying, "It's a part of me that I just push to the back of my brain".

A woman's body truly is a miracle, and this fact is beautifully illustrated during the miracle of childbirth. Ask any witnessing party: what a woman can accomplish through pain, sweat, and tears is awe-inspiring. When a woman goes into labor, her body changes rapidly to bring new life into the world. As moms well know, birth is an incredible process: inspiring, frightening, and truly just plain cool. That's right, we said it: The vagina is cool.
It's a sad state of affairs that the number of women optiong for female gentical cosmetic surgery or a labiaplasty has shot up in recent years, indicating mass insecurity about how normal women believe their vaginas to be. But if you're one of those who's ever fretted about the state of your labia, then fret no more. Australian not-for-profit organisation Women's Health Victoria have put their time to good use and created the one, the only: Labia Library. The website is a hub of information containing advice, facts, diagrams and most importantly PICTURES, put together with the help of young women and a range of professionals including gynaecologists, psychosexual health specialists, sex educators and general practitioners. The site contains a gallery, displayed below, which is a series of pictures collated from the book I'll Show You Mine, where photographer Katie Huisman shot images of various women's ladyparts to show that everyone is different, and everyone is NORMAL.
