I do believe this is what they call Coronation color of a Hudson Bay blanket and one rarely seen on the market. This 's blanket was found in a cedar chest in an attic of a century old home here in my city. I almost missed it as I had to dig through to the bottom of a chest full of old towels blankets and kids clothes to find it. I've hung it out on my fence daily for the past week to air out the musty smell from it being stored for so long. For the most part, it came out pretty good but I ran it through the tumble dry of my dryer with a bounce sheet to help it along. Like I mentioned, this color of Hudson Bay blanket is super hard to find.
If the blanket does not have a label the task is considerably more difficult and involves developing the skills to determine the style of weave, the differences between hand and machine weaving and analyzing the colours and types of dyes used to make them. Are point blankets valuable? Generally older point blankets are more valuable than regular wool blankets of the same age. Some unusual patterns, like the Coronation blanket, and particularly old point blankets may bring up to a thousand or more dollars at auction.
Happy Valentine's Day Although this falls into the category no pun intended of saccharinanimal photos.. I'll take the flack. An RV is the ultimate tiny-living space. Meticulous organization will make a carefree life on the road that much more comfortable.
