Lidia,s is a no brainer you will eat good. A Must Try! If one does not try you will truly miss out on great authentic food. I was so excited to go at this restaurant, made reservation with my fiance, and I was so disappointed, food was horrible, service was horrible and the place is so crowded can't even speak on your table. Definitely not recommended. You are to far away

Lidia's in the Strip District gets a health department consumer alert
It has been a Pittsburgh staple for nearly two decades. Unfortunately, the iconic Italian restaurant is set to close this September, though an official date has not yet been released. Lidia Bastianich brought her food to Pittsburgh in March, 18 years ago. New York was the home of her first three restaurants, including the famous Felidia. In an attempt to try out smaller cities for her new restaurants, Bastianich settled on Kansas City first, then Pittsburgh.
Dessert: donut holes with chocolate and almonds. It's like a museum, but just a little smaller. Plenty of history of the area, sports memorabilia, and Pittsburgh Spirit! Go for the buffet, it's awesome, then come up river for great jazz.
